I watched the first two episodes of The 100 Season 3 last night. And for those of you who were curious if Clarke’s bisexual story arc would continue or disappear as quickly as the residents of Mt. Weather – you don’t have to wait long to find out. The first episode confirms Clarke (Eliza Taylor) is definitely still into the ladies. Although maybe not the lady you were expecting, or at least not yet. Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) will appear this season as well.

The premiere was jam-packed with a lot more than just Clarke’s sensual entanglements though. There are new threats from the Ice Nation, a bounty on Clarke’s head, more survivors from the Arc, PTSD and so much more. Including notable guest appearance by Zach McGowan who looks like he didn’t really have to change costumes or character much from his role on Black Sails. And then there was special musical guest Shawn Mendes (of Stitches fame) to sing his new cover version of Add It Up (originally by the Violent Femmes). Because what post-apocalyptic young adult TV show is complete without a gratuitous musical promotion tie in? Don’t get me wrong, I like Shawn Mendes and his soulful version of the punk classic. I just thought inserting him into the show actually performing the song was a little heavy handed and took the viewer out of the carefully crafted world of The 100
