Anna Torv is going to play a lesbian again. Yes, again. Most people know her from Fringe. But she first captured our Sapphic hearts as Alex, the lovely, lesbian love interest of Jessica (Shelly Conn) in Mistresses (U.K.). Now Torv is set to play Windsor on Ryan Murphy’s HBO pilot Open. Jennifer Jason Leigh will play her partner, Holly, and Michelle Monaghan will round out the love triangle as Grace.
Open is described as a multi-character exploration of the complex, ever-evolving landscape of sexuality, monogamy and intimacy in relationships. Lesbian translation: an exploration of lesbian bed death, cheating, bisexuality, and the trouble with hooking up with “straight” girls.
